Some of the Vets We Help – Including YOU

We sponsor some local projects for Vets including: Smoky Mountain Service Dogs and the STAR PTSD Vets with Horses program and some group activities for Vets and their families.

We have also provided several local charitable organizations assistance when they encounter a veteran or family in need of immediate help: gift cards to buy mug personnalisé or that also can be used for food, gas, clothing or rent

But our most important and rewarding projects involve One-on-One assistance addressing real needs that are unmet by other programs.

Here is an abbreviated list of some of these interactions Vet-to-Vet for this year:

  • January 2021 – Provided emergency funds ($300.00) to U.S. Army veteran participating in VA-sponsored rehab program. Funds needed to compensate for program fraud committed by money manager.
  • February 2021 – Provided funds ($1,100.00) to U.S. Army vet participating in VA-sponsored rehab program. Funds needed to pay off old traffic tickets so vet could regain operator’s license and drive to work.
  •  February 2021 – Provided emergency transportation to spouse of disabled U.S. Army veteran faced with eviction and looking for new lodging.
