Tournament Rules:

This is a Round Robin Tournament. For full brackets, each team will play all 7 competitors within the bracket – there will not be a championship match.

If a bracket is not full, the tournament director will determine the best format to maximize play and to determine bracket winners.

Awards will be based on the following discriminators in this order:

  • Total Games won: First team to score 11 points
  • First tie-breaker: Total Points
  • Final tie-breaker: Winner of head to head match between tied teams
  • Games to 11, win by one point or match to 15-minute mark – The onsite tournament director has the discretion to continue a match past the 15-minute mark based on score and consideration of ensuring the bracket completion time is kept on schedule.
  • Teams switch sides after 6 or more points are scored by either team unless both teams agree not to switch.
  • Upon completion of the match, scores will be recorded by the onsite tournament rep and the next opponent / court location will be identified.Additional Information:
  • All brackets are scheduled to be completed in 2 hours. Teams should show 10 minutes before their start time already warmed up. Brackets will begin play on time. Any player that is not on site at their team’s start time, risks forfeiting their team’s match.
  • To accommodate as many players as possible:

– While players registering for multiple events is encouraged, registration preference will be given to teams in which neither player has registered for another bracket.
– One player on a team may play up above their current level, but no player on a team may play down into a bracket below their skill level.

  • The rain make-up date is Monday, 20 May. If any portion of the event is cancelled and not rescheduled for any reason, affected players will have the option to request a refund of their registration fees.
  • Normal IFP / Tellico Village Pickleball Club rules apply. This is a non-sanctioned event; there are no referees or line judges. Each team calls balls in/out for their own side.
