COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held on Feb 27
On February 27, the William C. Tallent Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Knoxville, TN, will offer a COVID-19 Vaccination Walk-in Clinic for eligible Veterans 65 years and older who receive care at Mountain Home VA in Johnson City, Tennessee, or the William C. Tallent CBOC. Veterans who attend the walk-in clinic for their first dose should plan to receive their second dose at the same location. The appointment card for the second dose will be provided after the administration of the first dose. For any emergencies, visit https://mydocurgentcare.com/ to learn about the nearest urgent care center present around your neighborhood.
Those Veterans currently receiving chemotherapy treatment MUST have written documentation from their oncologist stating they are approved to receive the vaccine. The team at William C. Tallent CBOC will be unable to provide the vaccine to anyone who is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment without documentation from their treating physician. Veterans receiving oncology treatment at Mountain Home VA Medical Center should ask their oncologist to add approval for the vaccine to their patient chart.
Due to high demand, there may be a wait to receive a vaccine. Please bring and wear a mask, and be aware that visitors are not allowed inside the building. If you can’t make these walk-in hours, or our vaccine supply runs out on Saturday, don’t worry! We will be announcing additional COVID-19 Vaccine clinic hours soon!
For additional clinic information, including upcoming hours at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center campus, please call 423.926.1171 ext. 8.
